Infiniti supports green initiatives

In 2012, the auto industry should have one of its most successful years in decades. So much is on the horizon for brands across the spectrum of the market, and your Lake Forest Infiniti service department is excited to be one of them. In fact, Infiniti is making its first big push into the green driving market to stay in competition with other luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes. While the major players have been doing this for years, Infiniti is still a young'un in comparison, so it's no surprise the brand was lagging behind the market. Still, consumer interest in Infiniti is ramping up, and this push into green driving should help the brand move some more cars in the 2012 sales year. The first gas-electric hybrid in the Infiniti lineup will be the 2012 M35h, a car that posts a 38 percent higher fuel efficiency than its non-hybrid sibling.

For drivers concerned with the state of the environment, Infiniti is giving the luxury industry something to talk about. While BMW is poised to snag the sales lead from Lexus this year, the change of the guard will give Infiniti an opportunity to grab some market share from the chaos. Barrington 2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe drivers are happy to see their brand pushing into the green space. According to a recent article at the News-Sentinel.com, "Drivers can get 9 more miles from a gallon of gas in city traffic and 6 more miles a gallon on the highway by driving the M35h rather than the regular M35, according to federal government estimates. And the M35h helps prod the driver to meter gasoline via an accelerator pedal that feels like it has a brick behind it whenever a computer in the car determines that the driver isn't being fuel-conscious." In the long run, your Infiniti service department is looking forward to a much different engineering experience.

For Barrington 2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe drivers, the new vehicle might be worth taking a look at if you're in the market to save some cash on gas. Keep your eyes on Infiniti in 2012.
